Struck by the world-renown Royal Mint, the popular Gold Britannia returns to the market for the 2022 edition of the coin. This year marks the 35th year of the Gold Britannia after it was first minted in 1987. For the first 26 years of production, the coin was only produced with .917 gold. Starting in 2013, the coin was stuck with .9999 pure gold, including the new 2022 Britannia! The Royal Mint eventually expanded to include the Britannia in silver and platinum, making the series a customer favorite in all precious metals.
